MARÍA CRISTINA SANTANA

She is a graduate of Law Degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM). She completed a Postgraduate in Foreign Trade and International Finance and a Postgraduate in Foreign Trade and International Economy with the University of Barcelona, Spain. She completed a Master’s degree in Law of the State Administration from the University of Salamanca, Spain. With studies in Commercial and Corporate Law, Trust, Banking Law; Customs Operating System in the Dominican Republic, Arbitration, Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing, Construction; Administrative Law; Restructuring and Judicial Liquidation Regime of Companies; intellectual property; Corporate Tax; Telecommunications, among others. Member of the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic, of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE); of the Association of Certified Specialists in Financial Crimes (ACFCS), Compliance without Borders and the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE).

 
With extensive experience in various areas of law with an impact in the field of corporate business law, including civil, commercial, labor, real estate, regulatory (Health Sector, Renewable Energy and Telecommunications) and immigration. With high capacity in managing representation to national and international clients in the structuring, formation, strategic alliances, restructuring, dissolution, and liquidation of companies.

DRA. TOGARMA RODRÍGUEZ AQUINO

 

Multiformation professional, covering fields such as medicine, law, administration, economics, education and bioethics. With 35 years in the practice of medicine, 20 years in the area of administration and 15 years in law, he has developed a long career concentrating on rehabilitation medicine and aspects of medical law, especially informed consent.

 

He worked for the Ministry of Public Health, in the Hospital Directorate, from where he participated in the coordination of the first national protocols. She has been a consultant in multiple projects in public and private institutions and non-profit organizations, among which we can mention the telemedicine project (for CERSS), the construction project of the Rosa Emilia Tavares National Cancer Institute (for the Heriberto Pieter Institute).

Consultant in the organizational area for various health centers nationwide, as well as adviser on bioethics for the Pedro Henríquez Ureña University.

 

Her teaching practice is developed as a teacher of the following programs: Legal Aspects of Clinical Cases (ENJ); Master of Modern Health Management (UCSD), at INTEC Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Bioethics for: Bioethics Master; CEDIMAT Medical Residences; and by the UASD in the Clinical Bioethics and Research programs for: Master in Higher Education, Master in Public Health and Master in Health Management.
 
Member of the Dominican Medical College and the Dominican Bar Association. He has chaired the following organizations: National Bioethics Commission, Dominican Association of Women Entrepreneurs, Dominican Society of Physiatry, the Dominican Academy of Medicine.
